The Prancing Moose and four other finds

Five Finds is a monthly collection of five inspiring things we deemed worthy of sharing. If you’d like inspiration in your inbox each month sign up here.

Chance discoveries

Smart ideas can be found everywhere and this edition to the newsletter is a celebration of that. Whether you stumble across them in the street, on the internet, (or parked right outside of your office door), a chance discovery can lead to great stories or new experiences. Read about our most recent ones below.

From the studio, the case study with our work for England Lacrosse’s athlete development programme ‘Aspire’ is now live. We worked with friends of the studio Yarn, to name and develop the messaging for the programme as well as stretching and creating new brand assets with help from lettering artist Oli Frape. As always, thanks for subscribing and if you like what you read, send it onto a friend and help spread the word of Five Finds.

Thanks!

The Prancing Moose

An immaculate black Volvo S80 was parked outside the studio sporting a decal strikingly similar to Ferrari’s Prancing Horse. Bemused, I did some research and discovered the story behind the playful pastiche.

The exterior of a LEGO store in London features a vibrant floral installation around its entrance, with various colorful flowers and greenery. Signage for "LEGO" and "LE FLORIST" are visible above the doorway.

Blooming brilliant

Lego ‘opened a florists’ from their store in Battersea, London. The campaign was created to promote their range of botanical sets which use parts left over from other sets to create floral arrangements that last.

Corn cladding

Circular Matters and StoneCycling have used corn cobs – one of the world's most plentiful agricultural waste materials – to make interior cladding that is biodegradable and almost entirely bio-based. Tasty!

Roots is growing

Traveling back from a trip to the South West we passed a huge sign for Roots, a growing space just outside of Bath. With waiting lists for allotments stretching to over 14 years in the UK, it’s not easy for those with small or no outdoor space to grow their own food and plants. Roots simplify the process offering land, tools and advice for a monthly fee.

A performer sings on a brightly lit stage with a microphone, wearing a light-colored corset top and dark skirt. An orchestra and choir are visible in the blurred background of a large venue.

Catch some Raye

She has 6 Brit Awards and still not enough people know who Raye is! Listen to her amazing performance at the Royal Albert Hall and then tell five more people about it. Shirley Bassy, Amy Winehouse and Alicia Keys all rolled into one.

New project

A positive brand identity for England’s aspiring athletes

England Lacrosse’s athlete development programme is the only one of its kind in the country. With changes to the programme structure and a new intake about to join, they needed help to explain and sell everything the programme has to offer. And just as we began the project, things got seriously exciting: Sixes Lacrosse was confirmed for the 2028 Olympics. So the stakes couldn’t have been higher.
