Five Finds – Archive
Smart product design, bright illustrations and inspiring videos, this month’s finds are a celebration of how design, art and creativity can elevate everyday life.
Spring sunshine is pouring in through the studio windows, bringing some much-needed light right now. This month’s inbox treats include clever stockings, retro packaging and energising music – all curated to inspire, distract and enjoy.
Spring has sprung and it’s birds, beachcombing, mind-bending weaves and a huge archive of digitised letterpress in your inbox this month. Pull up a stool and dive in.
This month’s collection of finds revolves around movement. From the mesmerising pulse of jellyfish and a peek into the art of moving letters, to an innovative new way to transport liquids using paper bottles.
Okay, I’ve left it far too late to wish you all a happy New Year, so I hope your January has been a good one so far. This newsletter was supposed to be out weeks ago but hopefully this audio-heavy collection of finds will supply the soundtrack to the rest of the month.
This month’s edition has a sprinkling of festive cheer and some gift ideas alongside the usual creative creations that have caught our eye. Grab a brew and a handful of Christmas chocolates and click away.
This month’s studio collection feels loosely linked to my current autumnal mood. Brew some coffee, stick some music on and dive on into the work of some very talented folk.
To celebrate my love for this time of year, this edition of Five Finds features a splash of autumn colour, some sunshine on a rainy day, a book recommendation over a pub pint and a novel use for mushrooms.
This month’s Five Finds features tiny insects, a selection of printers, some mind-bending art and views from a bridge. It’s an eclectic mix as ever but hope you enjoy.
This month’s finds tap into the Olympic fever in the studio. So much amazing sport! From a design point of view, it’s a feast for the senses too.
This month’s collection of finds cover the spectrum of music, art, politics and product design so there should be a little something for everyone.
From intricate gem-inspired artwork to the swirls of recycled plastic and the scent of freshly baked Parisian bread, already six months into the year and the sights and smells of spring and summer have filtered into the newsletter.
This month’s finds are a random collection of objects, stories and ideas with some sweet soul music thrown in for good measure. Dig in!
This month’s edition of Five Finds combines some music recommendations and integrated AI, a clever campaign and a disgusting sounding recipe. Variety is the spice of life after all!
Whether you stumble across idea in the street, on the internet, (or parked right outside of your office door), a chance discovery can lead to great stories or new experiences.
This month’s finds include some podcast and film recommendations, weird-looking shoes and a great example of lateral thinking. Hope you enjoy.
Looking to reflect and plan for the future? Weather winter? Or simply looking for some distraction? Whatever you’ve got planned for 2024, this month’s edition of Five Finds is a collection of things to view and do as we head into a new year.
The cycles to the studio are involving more and more layers so it must be getting close to the end of the year. This month’s collection of finds is a mixed stocking of smart ideas, gift ideas and hand-made brilliance.
Quick, chuck those pumpkins on the compost heap, scoff those treats and scrub that fake blood from your sleeve. It’s November which apparently means it’s Christmas already.
And just like that we’re in October. In the UK the days are getting shorter, (the early morning runs are getting harder) and the hot chocolate is being consumed at an alarming rate. This edition of Five finds is a mixed bag of stories, inventions and smart products.
September’s newsletter has a big blue bag, tasty paint, some wooden friends and a Bear omelette finished off with some late summer tunes to keep you in the mood until spooky season.
This month’s finds are a melting pot of helpful honey, some kick-ass football kits and houseplant help, all finished off with a splash of new music.
I’ll be the first to admit that this month’s collection of finds is eclectic but maybe it’s a reflection of my mind right now. I seem to be jumping from one thing to the other. With a few projects wrapping up and some new ones starting, I’m finding it hard to concentrate on one task at a time.
Hello again. This month’s newsletter is a little later than usual thanks to sunny trip down to the beautiful town of St Ives. The Tate and Barbara Hepworth Museum have long been on my must-visit list and thankfully neither disappointed.
If you read the previous edition of Five Finds you might not be expecting this one. Last month – on the back of a very busy time in the studio – I took some time to reflect on this newsletter, its content and purpose and asked for your feedback.
