Made for print
Richard Hancox – a press photographer based in Scotland – needed to collate his images into a portfolio for Photo Meet, an annual industry event combining portfolio reviews, talks and workshops.
A glossy, art-like binder felt like the wrong format. He needed something more in-keeping with his work.
A 64-page tabloid structured to mimic the language of newspapers. Sections for news, lifestyle, culture and sport, all aligned to a proper 12-column editorial grid. Printed by Newspaper Club, it was something you could hold, flick through and leave behind with someone.
The format doesn’t just display the photography. It gives it context.
