New illustrations for THIS Institute

THIS Institute Fellows

THIS Institute (The Healthcare Improvement Studies Institute) – based at the University of Cambridge – exists to make care safer and better, working with patients, clinicians and policymakers to turn evidence into real improvements across the NHS. As their research expanded into new territory, their illustration library needed to expand too.

We commissioned Nicola Robson to extend the set. The new scenes covered ideas from difficult conversations to tech in healthcareshared knowledge, conversations and collaboration. Each illustration needed the same considered, tactile quality as the originals, and the flexibility to sit on any of THIS Institute’s colour palette.

We also designed a set of new icons to extend the bespoke icon library that runs alongside the illustrations. More illustrations and more icons but the same considered style throughout.
